Lisa 'Ray' of Hope
72Incredible Lisa Ray
- A global actress reveals her private fight: An incurable cancer, a determined spirit - The Globe and
Toronto-born Lisa Ray remains remarkably upbeat as she battles multiple myeloma, an incurable form of blood cancer
SHE re-covered the Cancer !!!--?!?
Wow..I feel blessed. Lisa is one of the finest actresses we have and while I was deeply saddened when I was writing this hub for her...for other people not so known and fighting cancer in any form...I was positive and I was really praying with-in profoundly to heal people who do not have this spirit she has and people who kind of loose hope ( I used to be one of them..err..without cancer; I mean)
Before you read any further (if u do) I will state that I am not at a medically sound individual, it is only my feelings and observation on 'something' that touched me. Thanks for re-reading, if any one of you comes again...I did not know people read old hubs but can today see, they do!!!
Thank You all REALLY for stopping by and being with me...my words typed online...means a lot to me.
[ha! for fun (Draft saved at 9:28 AM on Aug 31, 2010)--whatever this means? I am publishing it now, the same time i wrote though knew she was coming outta MM stuff.]
Lisa Ray suffers from cancer
Five days back, Patrick Swayze died of Cancer.
I felt kind of subdued
and watched Dirty Dancing again and before I could even get over this feeling, just three
days back, I read a Facebook status by one of my friends in India stating, “Lisa
Ray suffers from cancer! ” It came as a blow...
The Indo- Canadian actress, a former model
and an epitome of beauty, Lisa Ray is today a fighter, battling with a rare kind ‘cancer of
the bone marrow’ called Multiple Myeloma.
This Hub is dedicated to Lisa Ray, an actress par excellence, a fine perpetrator of a truly beautiful woman in mind, body and soul.
"I wish her success in all her efforts
towards Myeloma and Cancer Awareness..
towards Hope and full remission...
towards peace and entity...towards vastness! "courtesy -- nikki, my friend!
Lisa Ray

Lisa Ray as a celeb
Known
for her award winning role in Deepa Mehta directed film Water and various other
significant and bold characters in films like I Can’t Think Straight, Seeking
Fear, The World Unseen and most recent Kill Kill Faster Faster , she has
successfully set up her own milestones in the hardcore Censor controlled (pardon me) Indian film Industry, not to mention her celebrity status globally!
Lisa
Ray has proved herself as not just an actor, a model, a celebrity with a cause but also as ONE very 'sexy'
woman of substance…
..so very human and real!
I admit, I now admire Lisa all the more, for the reasons beyond her acting virtuosity, celebrity
status or imagery.
Of course, celebrities are human but rarely do we see or know the reality masked by the paparazzi around them. All that glitter and glamour captured floats with the celebs and it is inevitably the huge cost one has to pay being a celebrity!
Reading
through her blog, like other thousands of people, I learnt few facts about
Multiple Myeloma, the cancer Lisa Ray is suffering from, causing plasma cells
in her bone marrow mounting up to push out the red blood cells…
I haven’t had heard
the term Myeloma before and I hold no medical knowledge but
I believe in Lisa’s SPIRIT to
be cured and wish her lot of strength during this phase of her life.
And yes,
she is sharing her everyday life on her blog under a category called ‘The
Yellow Diaries’ venting her feelings out, openly, amusingly together being the youngest member of the Canada based Cancer Club, Multiple Myeloma Division creating
Cancer Awareness, motivating people around the world to respond and to act.

Lisa is a proud supporter of Plan
Canada’s Because I am a Girl campaign and undoubtedly she is dedicated to
fight for girls’ rights and therefore she sure has a long way to go.

Hey!
The pleasure is all mine. Okay let me vote, done.
I read the hub and watched the video I hope all goes well for her she seems to be not only beautiful but a lovely person/woman.
I've bumped into her a couple of times at advertising parties when she first broke into the Bombay modelling scene and what struck me was her joie de vivre and her beautiful eyes. Then I saw the film Water and realised what a wonderful actress she could be. I recently heard about the cancer - thanks for this hub - it's great to see women like her fighting against all odds and making a mark in this world.
Very warm and caring article. My daughter's Mom died of cervical cancer I know it can be a weight on everybody who cares for the person.
She is gorgeous and I can see the attraction. Thank you for the wonderful tribute to her. I'm sure that Lisa Ray thanks you too, words cocktail. You are a very compassionate person.
